CLEVELAND -- A final pre-trial today for Michael Madison, the man accused in a series of murders in East Cleveland.
Madison was in court for the hearing.
Madison, 36, faces the death penalty if convicted. He faces 14 counts, including six counts of aggravated murder in the deaths Shetisha Sheeley, Angela Deskins and Shirellda Terry. Madison was arrested July 19 after police found the first victim after answering a complaint about odors coming from an East Cleveland garage.
A suppression hearing is scheduled for April 28 in the case. Madison's trial is scheduled to begin on July 21.
Madison is a convicted sex offender.
He has pleaded not guilty to aggravated murder, kidnapping, corpse abuse, rape and a weapons charge.
