Married couple shot to death in Cleveland car dealership

Owners of an East Cleveland auto shop found dead.

CLEVELAND - Two people were found shot to death on Friday evening inside the car dealership that they owned.

The victims were a married couple - a 45-year-old woman and a 50-year-old man - who owned the Mr. Cars Inc. auto dealership, located on East 185th Street.

Officers arrived shortly after 10 p.m. after the victims were discovered by their 19-year-old son.

Both victims were shot in the head.

We talked with friends at the scene who identified the victims as Mike and Trina Kuznik. Those friends told us, along with the 19-year-old son, the couple also had another younger teenage daughter and an elementary-age son.

“Mike loved my kids. We loved him like a brother. This to happen was just wrong,” said Bob, a friend of Mike and Trina's for 20 years. He didn't want to provide his last name.

“They were both well-liked, you know. They took care of people. They weren’t out to gouge them like a lot of other places are. It’s just a shame that this had to happen,” Bob told us.

Police are investigating to see if any property or vehicles were stolen from the business.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Cleveland Police homicide investigators at 216-623-5464, or they can can report anonymously through Crimestoppers at 216-252-7463.
