Lots of communities held parades today but the one in Kent had extra special meaning behind it.

Folks there gathered to honor the life of Adam Hamilton who was killed in Afghanistan.

Adam was 22 years old when a bomb explosion took his life. He was a triple-threat in football, lacrosse and ice hockey at Theodore Roosevelt High School and he graduated in 2007.

A stretch of North Mantua Street in front of his old high school is now dedicated in his memory.

WKYC Photojournalist Mike Greene brings us the story.
