Chagrin Falls: Warning to parents about breath-holding game

CHAGRIN FALLS -- A letter was sent to Chagrin Falls parentsMonday about second graders playing a "holding your breath" game.

There were two recent incidents at Gurney Elementary School with second grade boys holding their breath, and one child even collapsed.

The school sent a letter to parents, along withresources for the more-serious "choking game."

"Two incidents were enough, " says District Superintendent Bill Koons.

School nurse Pam Hoover talked to students about the dangers of holding your breath and suggest parents tell them "they can fall down and hit their head or even wet their pants."
