Teacher fired after drunken rampage on field trip

A Florida teacher has been fired after allegedly going on a drunken rampage while on an overnight field trip with students.

Teacher Jesus Garcia was chaperoning a trip to Washington D.C. when the incident occurred.

A representative of the Immokalee Community School says that Garcia verbally abused five students and appeared to be intoxicated.

Garcia was immediately separated from the students and sent home by plane.

The Florida Department of Children and Families was also notified after the incident took place.

Parents say they are outraged and that Garcia should face even more punishment.

School officials say he had a perfect record in his three years at the charter school prior to the field trip incident.
