Dental school offers free exams, x-rays to first-time patients

CLEVELAND - With Halloween quickly approaching, no better time than now to have your pearly whites examined before the candy starts rolling in.

Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine is inviting around 300 new patients to receive a free dental exam and x-ray.

Individuals who have never been enrolled as a patient at the School’s main clinic and are at least 18 years old are encouraged to make their appointment for the fourth annual Admitting Day, Wednesday, Oct. 5.

The services provided are typically priced at a $90 value. Admitting Day is an opportunity for both the community to be proactive about their oral hygiene, and for the students to gain valuable experience, all while serving patients who don’t frequently receive dental care.

The third and fourth-year students treat patients under the direct supervision of faculty members. Dental exams provide multiple benefits as they can reveal signs of high blood pressure, diabetes, and other health conditions.

Appointments are required for the exam and can last up to two hours. Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine is located at 2124 Cornell Road on the Case Western Reserve campus in Cleveland. Time slots fill quickly.

To schedule your exam call 216.368.8730 or 216.368.3200.
