Hudson: High school student has suspected case of mumps

HUDSON -- The Hudson City Schools says on its web site there is a suspected, but unconfirmed case of mumps in a student attending the high school.

The school says testing performed by the Summit County Health Department was inconclusive.

The school writes on its site:

"While there is no need for any student to be excluded from school at this time, the High School is contacting the families of those students who have not been vaccinated for Mumps."

Ohio has had a number of cases of mumps in central Ohio but none in Summit County.
