Houston Texans reportedly sign O'Brien as new head coach

HOUSTON -- The 2-14 Houston Texans have reportedly secured the services of a new head coach.

Two people familiar with the negotiations tell The Associated Press that Penn State's Bill O'Brien has reached an agreement to coach the Texans.

O'Brien took over at Penn State after the departure of Joe Paterno two years ago.

Prior to that he was an offensive coach with the New England Patriots.
