LIST | More red light, speed cameras for Cleveland

CLEVELAND -- The city has selected sites for new red light, speed on green traffic cameras that will go active on February 6.

Drivers could begin receiving warning notices beginning January 23 from the new camera locations.

The intersections where the new cameras will be operating are:

  • Orange Avenue at E. 30th St
  • Kinsman Road at E. 93rd St
  • Pearl Road at Denison Avenue
  • Puritas Avenue at W. 150th St
  • St. Clair Avenue at E. 55th St

In addition to the new red light cameras, the city will place Portable Camera Units (PCUs) in the following locations from January 6 to January 20:

  • 3219 Detroit Ave
  • 888 E. 140th St
  • 6793 Franklin Ave
  • 2641 North Moreland Blvd
  • 1580 W. 25th St
  • State Road and Germaine
  • 9270 Denison Ave
  • Rocky River and Maplewood Avenue
  • 5301 Lorain Ave
  • 4050 Block of Superior Ave
  • 17700 Block of Euclid Ave
  • 3241 W. 65th St
  • 7200 Block of Bessemer Ave
  • 4312 Lee Road
  • 2300 St. Clair

Legislation passed in May of 2013 increased the number of fixed camera sites from 24 to 49 and increased portable sites from 6 to 15.
