Akron man sentenced to 12 years in prison for bar shooting

AKRON - An Akron man has been sentenced to 12 years in prison for shooting two men outside a local bar earlier this year.

Marcel Williams, 22, pled guilty in August to two counts of felonious assault with a firearm, plus having a weapon under disability.

Williams was involved in a fight at the PK Lounge in Akron in January, 2016.  He was kicked out of the bar by a bouncer, then attempted to punch the bouncer outside.

Eventually, Williams got a gun that was inside a vehicle and shot the bouncer several times.  One of the shots intended for the bouncer struck another man in the foot.

Williams has prior convictions for domestic violence and having a weapon under disability.
