Akron police asking for help identifying pedestrian hurt in accident

AKRON - Akron Police are asking for your help in identifying the victim in a pedestrian accident that occurred on Wednesday.

According to Lt. Richard Edwards, the victim is a man in his 20's, believed to be 5'11" to 6'1" inches tall and weighing 180 pounds. 

The victim was walking southbound across Triplett Boulevard near the intersection of Lansing Street and was struck by a silver 2002 Chevy Malibu that was traveling eastbound on Triplett Boulevard at 4:45 a.m. Wednesday morning. 

The victim, pictured below, was taken to Akron City Hospital with severe head trauma. He is currently in critical condition and has been all alone in the hospital. 


At the time of the accident, the victim was wearing a black thermal shirt, blue jeans , and black Nike Air Jordan shoes.
