Akron Police: Suspect broke into home, stole guns

AKRON, OHIO - Akron Police want your help in identifying a suspect possibly involved in a Sept. 5 burglary.

Police say someone broke into a home in the 1100 block of Mount Vernon Avenue between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Sept. 5.

Police say the suspect entered the residence by forcing open an east side front door.  Once inside, police say he took three guns and left the house.

Police describe him as 18 to 23 years old, 5’9” – 6’1” tall with a goatee and tattoos on his forearms and legs.

Police say he was wearing a green t-shirt, light-colored shorts and white shoes and carrying a black backpack.

Police consider him armed and dangerous and ask anyone with any information to contact Akron Police.
