Police: Woman wanted in robbery of Akron Family Video store

AKRON -- Police say they are looking for Denise Myles, 41, for a robbery at the Family Dollar Store at 1117 South Arlington Road at 3 p.m. Tuesday.

Police say that the employee said she entered the store and shopped for a video, then approached the checkout counter and gave her phone number so the clerk could look up her account.

The employee said she then put a note on the counter stating she had a gun and the employee said she had her hand under her grey, hooded sweatshirt, as if she had a gun, and then demanded money.

The employee opened the cash drawer and gave her all the money it it. The employee then said she left the store.

Detectives following up identified her as Myles and a warrant for aggravated robbery was signed for her.

Myles is 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighs 200 pounds, according to police.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to contact Akron Police.
