Missing 15-year-old boy found at video store

ANDOVER -- Authorities say a 15-year-old boy, who was missing for more than 24 hours, has been found safe at a video store in western Pennsylvania.

At a brief press conference late Monday morning, police confirmed they located Caleb Denlinger in Millcreek Township near Erie, Pa. at approximately 10:30 a.m.

An employee at the video store contacted authorities after recognizing Caleb from posts about his missing status on social media.

Police say Caleb had stayed overnight at a bus station.

Caleb is said to be in good health.

The video store in which he was found is approximately 60 miles away from where he was last seen around 6 a.m. Sunday at Pymatuning State Park in Andover in southeast Ashtabula County.

He had been camping with his family when he was last seen leaving the area on a BMX bike without his cell phone.

Ohio State Park officers, law enforcement, and the Highway Patrol searched for him by foot and by aerial support throughout the day Sunday and early Monday. The Highway Patrol used a plane equipped with forward looking infrared cameras while searching at night.

Dozens of volunteer firefighters and numerous other law enforcement agencies participated in the search.

Caleb and his family are from Hartville in Stark County. The Denlinger family is extending their gratitude to all who helped in the search for Caleb.
