Cleveland: Fire truck gets stuck after road collapse

CLEVELAND -- A fire truck was stuck Saturday morning on East 123rd Street near St. Clair Avenue.

The truck became stuck when the ground gave way around 11:30 a.m. Saturday while firefighters were driving the neighborhood to install smoke detectors in homes.

A tow truck was called to the scene to assist in getting the fire truck out.

After being freed, the truck underwent a full inspection and is already back in service.

The portion of the road that collapsed will remain blocked until the streets division can determine why the road gave way.

No one was injured in the incident.
