2 Cleveland men indicted for killing teen

CLEVELAND - Two Cleveland men have been indicted for the murder of a 17-year-old that occurred last month.

According to the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's Office, Kiechaun Newell, 19, and Jeffrey Doss, 22, were indicted on 14 charges Tuesday. The charges include aggravated murder, murder, kidnapping, felonious assault, conspiracy, robbery, theft and weapons under disability.

Officials say Doss ordered Newell to kill the 17-year-old girl, who was with them when they robbed a Citizens Bank in Northfield Village Aug. 15.

Doss allegedly wanted the teenager dead because he was afraid he would be implicated in the robbery. The girl was found shot to death in a vacant East Cleveland lot.

Three additional juveniles were involved. They have been charged in Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court.
