CLEVELAND - Police responded to several shootings Saturday night and early Sunday morning in Cleveland and three people are dead.
At 8 p.m. Saturday, officers responded to E. 116th Street and Putnam Avenue for a man that had been shot.
They learned he had been taken to Marymount Hospital in a private vehicle. When police arrived at Marymount, they learned that the man had died.
Police say that preliminary information reveals that the victim, 18, was seated in a vehicle at E. 116th at Putnam when multiple gunshots were heard and witnesses discovered he had been injured.
At 2 a.m. Sunday, police responded to 2462 E. 86th Street. A man, 22, and a woman, 26, were found lying in the street with multiple gunshot wounds to the face and body.
EMS arrived and took both to Umiversity Hospitals where they were pronounced dead.
Poliec say that preliminary information reveals that witnesses heard gunfire and screams and then discovered both victims lying in the street.
Police say they are investigating the incident as homicides.
