Cleveland Police investigating homicide on Idarose Avenue

CLEVELAND -- Police are investigating a homicide that happened about midnight Friday outside 14101 Idarose Avenue.

Police say the man, 29, was found lying on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound to the head. He was taken to University Hospitals where he died.

Police say they learned that he lived at 14101 Idarose and had been outside with another man when the other man shot him and ran away.

Anyone with information regarding this matter is asked to contact investigators at 216-623-5464.

Earlier Friday evening, police were called to to 3183 W. 90th Street about 8 p.m. and entered into crisis negotiations with a man, 32. Police were told the man was schizophrenic and had barricaded himself inside the home.

He was taken into custody without incident and charged with domestic violence and child endangering.

Police report that about 10 p.m. Friday, a wrong-way driver on I-90 eastbound at Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard struck another vehicle head-on. No further information was made available.

Just before 11 p.m., police were called out to Warner Road and Beman Avenue where a boy, 15, was found with a gunshot wound to the leg. 

About 3 a.m. Saturday, police were called out to 12600 Shaker Boulevard for a man, 26, who had been stabbed. No further information was released..
