CLEVELAND -- A policy summit is scheduled Monday afternoon to come up with ways to address emergency situations on Lake Erie.
The meeting comes following a recent water ban that left 400,000 Toledo-area residents without safe tap water for days.
Cuyahoga County Executive Ed Fitzgerald, who is also an Ohio gubernatorial candidate, is heading the meeting.
About a week ago residents throughout Northwest Ohio were forced to use bottled water and water from other clean sources because algae blooms created high levels of toxins that contaminated the public supply. The water is now safe but concerns among residents remain.
Northeast Ohio's water supply was unaffected.
