Fabulous Food Show 'Cooking for a Cause'

CLEVELAND - It's the Fabulous Food Show, where our very own Monica Robins also got the chance to take to the cooking stage, somewhere she tells us she does not belong!

But she's cooking for a cause!
 
Monica was teamed up with the celebrity chef for an iron-chef style competition!
 
 
 
Here's the winning recipe:
 
Espresso and black pepper crusted sirloin
 

1/4 bacon rendered
1 onion
1 tsp garlic
1 tomato chopped
2T sherry vinegar
2T honey
1 top basil

Ingredients for Brussels sprouts

1/2 onion
1T cropped garlic
2 cups Brussels sprouts
1T Sherry vinegar
1 apple
1/4c pecans

Ingredients for risotto
 

1 onion chopped
1 T chopped garlic
2 cups arborio
4-5 cups chicken stock
1T butter
1/4 cup Parmesan

Ingredients for steak
Ground espres
Ground pepper
Salt
Oil for cooking

Recipe for jam
Render bacon add onion and garlic carmelize add tomatoes and basil. Add vinegar and honey. Reduce.

Sprout recipe
Blanch and shock. Saute onions and garlic. Add Brussels sprouts. Finish with Sherry vinegar. Season with salt and pepper. And chopped apples and pecans.

Risotto recipe
Saute onions and garlic in oil. Add arborio. Add chicken stock 1 cup at a time until dry. Finish with butter and Parmesan season.
