Group cleans up former Anthony Sowell property

Community clean up of Anthony Sowell property

CLEVELAND - Almost 7 years ago, the gruesome and morbid sight shocked Northeast Ohio. Body after body after body was discovered on the east side of Cleveland in a house on Imperial Avenue.

We would later discover serial killer Anthony Sowell had killed all those women.

But almost 7 years later, the empty lot where the house once stood is overgrown.

Today a group organized by Black on Black crime decided to go out and help clean up the lot.

The families of the victims are extremely frustrated by the lack of progress on the creation of an actual memorial.

They've heard promises about building a memorial, but it just never seems to come to fruition, as deadline upon deadline is missed.
