CLEVELAND - Lace up your sneakers, Cleveland!
Whether you're running, cheering, or figuring out how to navigate local streets that are temporarily closed, here are a few things to know about the 40th installment of the event.
Times and courses:
The 5k and 8k began at Public Square at 8 a.m. Saturday at Public Square. The 10k, half marathon, and full marathon courses opened at 7 a.m. Sunday.
After teasing you for a few weeks, we finally have what you have been looking for... the NEW COURSE MAPS! We have a new finish line at Cleveland Public Square and we have removed the hill on the Cleveland Memorial Shoreway :) Changes include the inclusion of North Coast Harbor (First Energy Stadium, Rock Hall of Fame and Science Center) & the extended route through Detroit Shoreway and Gordon Square Arts District. The start line remains at the Quicken Loans Arena, home of the Cleveland Cavaliers and the 2016 NBA CHAMPS! All of theses changes are great improvements for a faster, flatter course! Visit our website to view the additional race maps!
The earliest road closures began around 2 a.m. and run throughout the morning. All roads will be open by 3 p.m.
