Kevin Kelley re-elected as Cleveland council president

CLEVELAND - Cleveland City Council's Democratic Caucus re-elected Kevin Kelley as council president by a unanimous vote, the city announced Monday.

Kelley serves Cleveland's 13th ward.

Patricia Britt was re-elected as clerk of council. She was first elected in 2008.

Two provisional votes were cast by incoming Ward 1 and Ward 7 council members as the vote totals separating them and their challengers were close. The Cuyahoga County Board of Elections is still counting absentee and provisional ballots.
