CLEVELAND - A group gathered at the Old Stone Church in Cleveland Saturday morning in support of Issue 108 on the Nov. 8 ballot.
Cleveland Metropolitan School District CEO Eric Gordon was joined by the presidents of Cleveland State University and Tri-C, along with other community leaders, pastors, teachers and parents. Both presidents endorsed the levy.
Passage of the levy will help keep funding of public education a priority in Cleveland.
The rally was organized by the Downtown Cleveland Residents Association, which has always been in favor of strengthening local public schools. The DCRA supported the passage of the original levy currently being asked to be renewed.
