New RV goes up in flames behind Hopkins Airport

CLEVELAND -- A witness at Cleveland Hopkins Airport contacted WKYC about heavy smoke billowing from behind the closed Concourse D.

Brook Park police confirm that a camper fire on OH-237 was the source of the smoke.

The vehicle was a new RV on its way back to Akron after an RV show at the I-X Center. The driver smelled smoke and got out. The vehicle then became fully engulfed in flames.

Fire crews were able to extinguish the blaze.

No injuries were reported.
