CLEVELAND -- A Cleveland police spokesman confirms that there is an open internal investigation regarding a a number of police officers in relation to an east side gas station/convenience store.
Cleveland Police Patrolmen's Association President Jeff Folmer tells WKYC that internal affairs officers are investigating a complaint against other officers -- the number of officers is unknown -- in connection with the Marathon gas station/convenience stop at E. 40th Street and St Clair Avenue.
Folmer told WKYC that he didn't know many officers are being investigated or for what and said it could be for " hanging out" too long or taking a can of pop. He said he just doesn't know.
What Folmer did confirm is that no officers have been called to internal affairs to be interviewed regarding the complaint.
WKYC is working on gathering more information.
