Quick-thinking workers save woman from fire

CLEVELAND -- A woman escaped an early morning house fire thanks to the help of two quick-thinking sanitation workers.

The fire at the house on West 25th Street near Myers trapped the woman on the top floor.

Workers with Waste Management were in the area and called 911 just after 6 a.m.. The workers then used their garbage truck to help rescue the woman. The woman escaped the burning house by jumping onto the top of the truck.

The woman has been taken to Metro where we're told she is in stable condition.

The Waste Management workers were not hurt.

Fire investigators will determine the cause of the fire.
