RNC in CLE | By the numbers

CLEVELAND -- Now that Cleveland has landed the 2016 Republican National Convention, the hard work begins to make sure everything is ready.

New hotels are being built in the city, security and transportation logistics are also being discussed.

Here's a breakdown of the RNC by the numbers:

  • 2: Number of years we have to get ready.
  • 1936: Last time Cleveland hosted a convention.
  • 50,000: Delegates and alternates coming to CLE.
  • 15,000: Media members coming to CLE.
  • June 28 & July 18: Dates being considered.

The RNC will be Cleveland's time to shine on an international stage.
