Suspicious package deemed safe at Wolstein Center

Update on suspicious package at Wolstein Center

Cleveland Police have declared the "suspicious package" safe at the Wolstein Center prior to the planned Hillary Clinton campaign event featuring rapper Jay Z.

The package caused the bomb squad to investigate the area and led to the Secret Service shutting down a portion of the arena.

The previous road closures at Carnegie Avenue from East 22nd Street to East 18th Street in both directions, and East 21st Street and Prospect have been lifted and the streets are re-opened.

The start time for the event has been pushed back an hour or more due to the investigation.
