Tom Hanks coming to Cleveland for Film Commission event with WKYC's Russ Mitchell

CLEVELAND -- Hollywood royalty is heading to Cleveland.

Tom Hanks will be the guest of honor at the Greater Cleveland Film Commission’s “Behind the Camera" on Friday, Dec. 2 at 8 p.m.

Hanks will sit down with WKYC anchor Russ Mitchell for an “intimate” conversation about his career, his Cleveland roots and the impact that a full-time media industry can have on a region like Northeast Ohio.

Back in the '70s, Hanks started his professional acting career at what is now the Great Lakes Theater.

“Behind the Camera” is a fundraising event.

Tickets, which start at $250, are up for grabs HERE.
