CLEVELAND - Cleveland Police have made two arrests in one of three separate shootings that took place on Friday evening.
A 23-year-old man is dead after sustaining two gunshot wounds to the legs during a shooting on the city's east side. Around 7:15 p.m., officers arrived and found the victim lying in the back yard of a home on Rugby Road.
They found the suspects in a blue Chevy Impala on Deise Avenue, where they learned one of the suspects was also shot.
Police have arrested Ahron Williams, age 22, in connection with the homicide. Williams was shot multiple times in the leg in the incident and is currently confined at MetroHealth Medical Center.
Police also arrested an unnamed juvenile, believed to be Williams brother, who was also in the car.
A third suspect, a 19-year-old male, is still being investigated but has not yet been arrested in connection with the homicide.
Witnesses say the victim was seen arguing with the suspects before one of the suspects pulled a handgun and started firing. Witness also say the victim did not return fire, and police are unclear about how the suspect was shot.
In a separate incident, two men suffered multiple wounds during a shootout at a home on the 4800 block of Quincy Avenue around 8 p.m. Both men were shot in the chest and abdomen and were taken by 'critical transport' to MetroHealth Medical Center.
