U.S. Marshals capture suspect who escaped from Cleveland police

CLEVELAND - The United States Marshals Service's Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force has captured the man who escaped from Cleveland Police custody last weekend.

Antwoine Thomas was tracked down on Thursday in the 13900 block of Superior Avenue in East Cleveland. 

Thomas was arrested for possessing a stolen car last week and was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center for treatment. However, he escaped police custody around noon Saturday.

Officials say Thomas he "an extensive criminal history including crimes of violence," and was considered to be dangerous.
