Violent fugitive arrested after Cleveland car chase

CLEVELAND - The U.S. Marshals arrested a man they call a violent and dangerous fugitive after a car chase in Cleveland Monday afternoon.

According to the U.S. Marshals, Brico Allen, 20, was taken into custody in Cleveland.

Allen has been wanted since Nov. 4 on felonious assault charges. He has been linked to several crimes over the last two weeks, including an assault on an Oakwood police officer and stealing a police cruiser.

On Monday, Allen attempted to steal a vehicle at the 3400 block of E. 137th Street. After a short pursuit, Allen crashed the vehicle at the 3500 block of E. 142nd Street and was taken into custody. Authorities say they found a loaded gun in the car.
