2 Magnificat students in ICU following car crash

ROCKY RIVER - Two Magnificat students remain in the intensive care unit following a car crash that occurred Saturday evening.

According to school officials, the students were two of five involved in the crash. The girls are being treated at Fairview Hospital. The remaining three were from neighboring schools and suffer injuries less severe in nature.

The single-car crash happened in the Cleveland Metroparks.

In a statement, Magnifcat President Jenifer Halliday said, “Our entire faculty and student body is shocked and saddened by this news.  We began our week with an all-school prayer service, and continue to pray for the healing of the injured students, and provide support for their families and each other, during this difficult time.  Our student life teams, counselors, and campus ministers remain available at all times to our Magnificat students and their families.  We are directly in touch with the family of the injured students and seek to provide ongoing pastoral support and care, as well as ongoing prayers.”
