Bay High coach indicted for sexual battery, other felonies

BAY VILLAGE -- Kevin Fillinger, 26, of Fairview Park and the Bay High boys' junior varsity coach, has been indicted by a Cuyahoga County grand jury on eight felony counts, including sexual battery and gross sexual imposition.

He is scheduled to be arraigned at 8:30 a.m. July 29 in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court. He was arrested July 2 and posted $5,000 bond after appearing in Rocky River Municipal Court.

Bay Village Police said that, in December 2013, the Bay High School administration contacted the Bay Village Police Department regarding Fillinger having inappropriate communications with Bay High students.
