Doctor sentenced to 3 years in attack on Cleveland Hts. son-in-law

CLEVELAND -- The Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's Office says a Pennsylvania anesthesiologist was sentenced here to three years in prison after pleading guilty to felonious assault in a crowbar attack on his daughter's estranged husband, who also is a doctor.

Cuyahoga County prosecutors dropped an attempted murder charge and other counts against Dr. Georges Bensimhon, of Allentown in exchange for the plea.

Hoffer was clubbed with a crowbar but fought back, pinned his attacker and called for help.
