Lakewood | Suspect arrested, charged in hit-skip death

LAKEWOOD -- A driver accused of striking a man with his car and killing him on a street in Lakewood Friday has been named and charged by police.

Police say that William J. Galvin, 28, has been charged with aggravated vehicular homicide in the death of David M. Nageotte, 36.

Police say that at 3:45 a.m. Friday, they received a report of a man lying in the 1300 block of Cook Avenue.

Police arrived and found Nageotte dead in the middle of the street.

His body was taken to the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office for an autopsy.

Police say that evidence at the scene on Cook Avenue led them to a vehicle they believe was involved, parked on the same street.

Police arrested the driver, Galvin, at his home.
