STRONGSVILLE, Ohio -- The man accused of killing Strongsville teacher Melinda Pleskovic was back in court Tuesday morning.
Jeffrey Scullin appeared via video in an extremely brief court hearing where his $1 million bond was continued.
He didn't speak during the hearing.
The judge ordered Scullin's first pre-trial for Monday, Nov. 27 at 9 a.m.
Pleskovic’s body was found inside her Strongsville home on Blazing Star Drive last month. She died from gunshot and stab wounds.
Scullin, who also lived at the home, called 911 to report the murder.
“There’s a lot of blood,” he told police during the call.
Scullin was engaged to the victim’s daughter, Anna. They were due to be married days after the murder, but it was canceled for Pleskovic's funeral in which Scullin served as a pallbearer.
Pleskovic was a sixth grade teacher.
