Newburgh Heights | Suspects rob Speedway, driving Jeep

NEWBURGH HEIGHTS -- Police are looking for three suspects in a robbery that took place about 11:15 p.m. Monday at the Speedway at 2609 Harvard Avenue.

A blue Jeep Liberty is seen entering the Speedway from the west and there are three occupants in vehicle.

Suspects #1 and #2 both enter the Speedway where they browse through the aisles and select a few items to purchase.

The two engage in dialogue with the clerk where one mentions having a gun and that they were robbing her.

The suspects gathered a handful of merchandise believed to be consumables such as candy, chips and sodas.

The two suspects ran from the store where they quickly enter the Jeep Liberty where the third suspect is awaiting.

All three then drive off.

The license plate on the Jeep Liberty was obtained and it was found to have been reported stolen in Cleveland.

All suspects remain at large.

Suspect #1: African American male, tall, slender, wearing a pink, long-sleeved shirt, tan pants and lime green shoes

Suspect #2: African American male, medium height, wearing an orange, short sleeved plaid shirt, grey pants, and white shoes and had a towel covering his head

Suspect #3: Did not enter store but drove the Jeep getaway vehicle and is described as an African American male, medium height, wearing dark shorts, a white long-sleeved, hooded sweatshirt, dark colored shoes. He was also wearing glasses.
