Police say thieves who ‘lack energy' wanted for stealing Red Bull in Westlake

WESTLAKE, Ohio -- Police are searching for two men who allegedly snatched $174 worth of items from a Giant Eagle store in Westlake on Thursday.

“They must lack energy for constructive activity, as 18 packages of Red Bull drinks constitute the majority of the theft,” Guy Turner of the Westlake Police Department said in an e-mail Friday.

The incident happened at 30275 Detroit Road around 5:17 p.m.

Police have released a photo of the suspects filling a red Saturn Ion with the alleged stolen goods.

“They ignored an employee who told them to return and pay,” Turner added.

The Saturn is registered to an elderly woman.

Anybody with information is asked to call Westlake police at 440-871-3311.
