SWAT standoff ends in Maple Heights

MAPLE HEIGHTS -- Maple Heights Police along with the SWAT team were called to a house on Greenhurst Drive late Tuesday.

Sources say a man barricaded himself inside the home. A female was also inside, but it's unclear if she was being held against her will. Police say the male suspect was wanted for outstanding warrants and didn't want to go to jail.

The standoff ended just after midnight Wednesday after the SWAT team made forcible entry.

The identities of those inside are not clear at this time.
