State attorney general says backlog of Cuyahoga County rape kits have now all been analyzed

All Cuyahoga County rape kits tested

RICHFIELD - Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine said an analysis of roughly 5,000 sexual assault kits from Cuyahoga County has been completed.

This means the county's backlog of rape kits have now all been tested, resulting in 540 indictments.

The oldest kit dated back to 1995.

"We owed it to these victims," DeWine said at a new conference Wednesday morning.
