Westlake | Second pastor accused of sex assault of teen

WESTLAKE -- A second pastor from Church on the Rise here has been accused of sexually assaulting a teenage girl.

According to the indictments, these cases started back in 2005 and continued through 2013.

Pastor Paul Endrei started Church on the Rise back in 1993 with the goal to specialize in kids and youth ministry, according to the church's website.

But last week a grand jury indicted him on charges of sexual battery and gross sexual imposition.

He's accused of assaulting a girl less than 16 years old.

A few days later, a grand jury indicted his son, Pastor Jordan Endrei, for sexually assaulting the same girl.

Elders say both pastors are still active in the church, but, while the case makes it way through the courts, they have chosen not to be involved in Children's Learning Center or the Albert Einstein Academy, which is a charter school that leases the property from the church.

Youth Pastor Dean Morris says the church stands behind its pastors.

"We fully support Pastor Paul and Pastor Jordan. We just ask that people would pray for both Pastor Paul, Pastor Jordan and the Endrei family," said Morris.

In a statement to the church, both pastors deny the accusations and plan to enter not guilty pleas.

Elders say they have faith that justice will prevail in court.

"Pray for Church on the Rise as we continue to do the important ministries here day by day," Morris said.
