Woman charged for deadly Parma Heights concert crash

PARMA HEIGHTS - The driver responsible for the crash that killed two during a Parma Heights concert has been charged, police announced Monday.

Donna Chidsey, 74, turned herself in Monday and has been charged with two counts of vehicular homicide.

Chidsey was behind the wheel when she drove her car into a crowd at a concert at Greenbrier Commons Aug. 21.

Police say she was leaving the concert when she mistakenly hit the gas and accelerated into the crowd.

The crash resulted in the deaths of Kathleen McDonald, 61, and Nancy Gielas, 68. Six other people suffered serious injuries.
