Fire sends 5 to the hospital

CLEVELAND -- The Cleveland Fire Department is investigating an overnight fire on the city's east side. Five people escaped the blaze that ignited inside their family duplex.

All five people, including three children, were taken by ambulance to Marymount Hospital and treated for smoke inhalation.

Fire crews were called to the scene on Corlett Avenue just after 1 a.m.

The fire happened on the first floor of the duplex.
