CLEVELAND - It's the one day of the year that there are free tours of the Soldiers and Sailors Monument tunnels on Public Square.
The tunnel tours were offered from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Some say the tunnels are haunted, which is why the tour is offered annually around Halloween.
Others say the tunnels were used for storage.
Know that the tunnel tours are only available one day a year but that the monument itself is open in the fall Mondays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and admission is free.
The Cuyahoga County Soldiers' and Sailors' Monument , located at 3 Public Square, commemorates the Civil War and honors the citizens of Cuyahoga County who fought and worked for the Union.
