4 juveniles arrested after North Ridgeville police chase

NORTH RIDGEVILLE, Ohio -- An early morning police pursuit ended with four juveniles in custody.

It started at 4:19 a.m. when a resident on Stonegate Circle reported people were stealing things from his wife's vehicle.

Authorities determined the suspects' vehicle, a Lexus SUV, was stolen from Avon Lake on May 30.

When officers responded, they attempted to stop the vehicle on Route 83 near Sugar Ridge Road. Moments later, a resident on Stonegate Circle notified police that a handgun and loaded magazines were stolen from his vehicle.

The Lexus was pursued on Center Ridge Road through Westlake and into Rocky River before traveling northbound on Detroit Road.

Police say stop sticks were used, and the Lexus was eventually brought to a halt.

Four of the vehicle's five occupants were arrested. Authorities also recovered several stolen items, including a gun.

The suspects' ages were not released.
