BRUNSWICK -- These kittens probably have more than nine lives but who would do this to a bunch of kittens?.
According to Brunswick Animal Control Officer Michael Kellum, a dozen kittens from two different litters -- ranging anywhere from 4 to 6 weeks old -- were left in a Rubbermaid container that was duct-taped shut with the message "Kittens, please help" written on it outside of the Brunswick Animal Clinic Friday.
A woman who works at the clinic found the box on her lunch break. There are currently no suspects. The Brunswick Police have reached out for help gathering information as to who might have left the kittens there.
The kittens are being cared for and treated at the Animal Clinic and they hope to have them adopted within a week or two.
Kellum said if anyone has problems with animals and can't care for them to give the local animal control or a local shelter a call to avoid situations like this.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Brunswick Police at (330) 225-9111 and ask directly for him.
