MENTOR | Snow blankets eastern suburbs

MENTOR -- People in Mentor woke up to a fresh layer of snow Wednesday morning. It was a familiar scene across all of northeast Ohio.

It's cold, and wet. This is northeast Ohio in February.

Local contractors along with municipalities were spotted plowing roadways, driveways, parking lots, and anywhere else people needed to drive to.

Their message. Slow down, give them room to do their jobs.

Elsewhere, the snow and freezing rain mix is likely to blame for numerous crashes throughout the region.

Cleveland commuters were met with heavy delays that doubled the normal commute time for some drivers.
