CLEVELAND -- The songs seemed more stirring and the words had more meaning.
And it seemed more people attended Monday's Martin Luther King Celebration on the eve of Barack Obama's Inauguration.
At South High School, City Year youth community service workers coupled with students to paint murals of Dr. King, Rosa Parks and President-elect Barack Obama.
They also made Valentines for hospitalized children and wrote officeholders including President-elect Obama letters of good wishes.
Many agreed that this an important milestone on the journey to Dr. King's dream of brotherhood and non-discrimination.
John Story of the Closing the Achievement Gap Program said, "Martin Luther King was the start. Barack Obama is the future."
